Sensory Self-Editing Workshop with Nancy Pickard
The essence of good writing is rewriting. But how can a writer use the editing process to do more than just move words around on a page? Bring a chapter or story you are working on, a stack of 3x5 note cards, and some colored pencils or pens. Nancy Pickard will show you the system she uses to dissect her work scene by scene, drawing on her research and experience in storycrafting and editing.
(Nancy is a founding member and the first president of Sisters in Crime. The list of her awards and recognition includes four Agathas, three Anthonys, four Edgar Best Novel Award nominees, a Shamus, and four Macavitys. The number of starred reviews and “best of” selections defies accurate count.)
