Twentieth Anniversary

October 2006 saw our 20th anniversary/birthday celebration year launched—twenty years of opening doors for female mystery writers! This is one whopping series of events, with opportunities galore to get involved.

  • September 2006: Borders Books celebrates SinC with displays in stores across the nation
  • September 30, 2006: business meeting and 20th anniversary kick-off dessert party featuring founder Sara Paretsky and many more at Bouchercon, Madison, WI. For more information, see the News page.

  • October 2006: Independent bookstores celebrate Sinc with displays across the nation
  • November 3-5, 2006: SinC goes to the movies conference, Hollywood, CA
  • March 2007: Libraries across the countries celebrate SinC with displays
  • May 4-6: sinc celebration at Malice Domestic, Arlington VA
  • September 29, 2007: Closing celebration (Death by Chocolate) at Bouchercon, Anchorage, Alaska
  • Fall 2007: Release of Sinc presidents anthology edited by Sara Paretsky
