Los Angles Times Festival of Books
Los Angeles Times Festival of Books: April 21-22, 2012. For the past 14 years, the Los Angeles chapter has sponsored a signing booth for its authors at the annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, an event that historically attracts 130,000 to 150,000 book lovers. This year, thanks to a grant from Sisters in Crime, Inc., the chapter is able to open the opportunity to all members of the organization. With the diminishing number of bookstores available for author signings, the Los Angeles chapter booth provides a golden opportunity to connect with fans in the largest book-buying market in North America.

If you email her directly and don't use the form, just be sure to put LATFOB in the subject area of your e-mail and include all required information to secure your slot.
Maps and parking fees will be emailed to you when they are available.
The LATFOB is scheduled for Saturday, April 21 through Sunday, April 22, 2012 on the campus of the University of Southern California.
Up to seven authors will be assigned for each 2-hour slot: Saturday 10-12, 12-2, 2-4, 4-6 and Sunday 10-12, 12-2, 2-4. Sign up now for the time of your choice and one alternate signing time. We will make every attempt to accommodate your first choice but sign up is first come, first served so we may have to shift you to your second choice depending on demand.
If you are traditionally published and your books are in print, returnable and available through a distributor, send us the title of your most recent book and up to four titles from your backlist. Space limitations prohibit us from selling more than five titles from any author. For all books, you must also include the publisher and the ISBN#. If you are traditionally published but your books are out of print or if you are self published, the bookseller will sell your books on consignment (60/40 split).
On the day of your signing, bring your books and a sheet of paper that lists your name, address, email and phone number for payment purposes. On that same sheet, write the title of each book, how many copies of each you’re bringing and the price of each copy, which should be the same price you are charging at other festival booths. To avoid accounting nightmares, once you establish the price of the book, no changes are allowed. You must remove your books from the booth on the last day you are at the festival. No exceptions. If you sign on Saturday but want to leave the books in the booth until Sunday, you must pick them up by noon on Sunday. We will not transport them from the Festival or send them to you.
