Sisters in Crime will be part of an event in the Chicago area on March 25, 2015 at 2pm.

Librarians, please join us for Doing Time with Sisters in Crime, featuring authors Lori Rader-Day (THE BLACK HOUR), Susanna Calkins (FROM THE CHARRED REMAINS), and Clare O’Donohue (THE DOUBLE WEDDING RING). Cari Dubiel will be moderating the panel discussion.  We will talk about the art of writing and the finer points of writing mysteries in particular. In addition, we’ll discuss what librarians should look for in recommending different mystery subgenres, and you’ll come away with many new suggestions for your patrons.

The panel is a program of the Adult Reading Roundtable (ARRT) and will take place at the Deerfield Public Library, 920 Waukegan Rd. Deerfield, IL. There is a $15 fee, but since this is a professional program, your library may be able to pick up the cost. You do not have to be a member of ARRT to attend. Please register by March 10. A check may be sent to Debbie Walsh at the Geneva Public Library, 127 James Street, Geneva, IL 60134 – please note, however, that the Deerfield library is the location of the event. If you have questions about ARRT, I can put you in contact with a librarian on their board.
