Meet many Sisters in Crime talented mystery and crime authors as they sign their books at the Tucson Sisters in Crime booth during the Tucson Festival of Books, March 12-13, 2016.
The authors are all members of Sisters in Crime, Inc., an international writer's organization made up of more than 3,600 members in 48 chapters world-wide, men and women who are authors, readers, publishers, agents, book sellers, librarians, and others who love mysteries. The national group was founded in 1986 to promote the professional development and advancement of women crime writers to achieve equality in the industry.
Tucson Festival of Books 2016 will attract more than 100,000 attendees and present more than 400 authors of all genres, 42 author talks, a large children's area and stages for author storytelling, and a variety of entertainment. This year's Festival on the University of Arizona Mall features numerous presentations by mystery and crime authors, demonstrations and activities for readers of all genres, literacy awards, and a Master's Workshop. Net proceeds from the Festival go to fund literacy programs in Southern Arizona.
