For the past 18 years, the Los Angeles chapter of Sisters in Crime has sponsored a signing booth for its authors at the annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. This event historically attracts approximately 150,000 book lovers of all genres.
Thanks to a grant from Sisters in Crime Inc., the chapter offers all national members in good standing, the opportunity to sign at our booth. Up to five authors will be scheduled to share a signing time: Saturday 10-12, 12-1,1-2, 2-4, and 4-6; and Sunday 10-12, 12-1, 1-2, 2-4, and 4-6.
Sign up now (click here) for the time of your choice and one alternate signing time. We will make every effort to accommodate your first request. but sign-up is on a first come, first served basis. We may have to shift you to your second choice or offer an alternate option depending on demand. If you are traditionally published and your books are in print, returnable, and available through a distributor, include the title of your most recent work and up to four titles from your backlist.
Space limitations prohibit us from selling more than five titles from any author. For all books, you must include the publisher and the ISBN#. If you are traditionally published but your books are out of print, or if you are a self-published author, our bookseller will sell your books on consignment (60/40 split, 60% to you.) On the day of your signing, bring your books and the consignment form, which we will provide. Please consult with the bookseller before you leave the booth. You must remove your books from the booth at the end of the day of your signing. We cannot store them or ship them to you.
