How to Add A Twitter Feed to Your Profile
Share |

You may have already added the URL of your Twitter account under Networks, so that users can click the twitter icon in your profile to navigate directly to your twitter profile. Adding your Twitter feed to your profile takes this social media integration one step further.

Once you complete the process of adding your Twitter feed, users can see your tweets (recent tweets rotate) in your member profile.

Step 1:  After signing in to your account, go to Manage Profile, and click "Networks".  In this screen shot, at the bottom under my listed networks, you can see that it lists my twitter feed as "disabled" and has a reminder: "Don't forget to configure your Twitter account".

Step 2:  Click on the highlighted words (configure your Twitter account) in the reminder, and a smaller pop-up screen appears describing what you are about to do.

Step 3:  After you click on "continue to Authorization", you will see this screen.  Enter your Twitter credentials (username and password). Click the blue "authorize app" button.

Step 4:  This confirmation screen appears! Success! Your done!

Step 5:  Let's go see how that looks. Click on Manage Profile (yellow in the top banner bar) and then click on "Profile Home" in your Manage Profile screen.

Step 6: On the left side of the screen under your profile image, your facebook connection (if enabled), and your groups, you should see your Twitter feed.

NOTE: You can always go back and UNDO the Twitter Feed integration, just follow the same steps as above, but the pop-up screen that you get once your twitter feed is linked asks if you want to disconnect it (just like the Facebook option does). You can click it and immediately severs the connection.

Try it out and see if you like it!
