We’ve all heard stories about the author who thought once they sold their book next stop was the New York Times bestseller’s list. Well, these Sisters are here to tell you, it takes a little more work than just sitting back and waiting. They have some great tips on using social media and what bling to invest in that will help you be successful in today’s market.

Vanessa Lillie has fifteen years of marketing and communications experience and enjoys organizing book events and literary happenings in the Providence, Rhode Island area. Her debut thriller, Little Voices, was an Amazon bestseller and received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Library Journal. It was also named one of the best debut thrillers of 2019 by Bolo Books. Lillie’s next thriller, FOR THE BEST, releases September 8, 2020, and it will also be set in Providence.

Toni L.P Kelner is the author of eleven mystery novels: eight Laura Fleming mysteries and three “Where are they now?” mysteries. Both series are available as audio books and e-books. Kelner is also the author of numerous short stories, and co-edits bestselling urban fantasy anthologies with Charlaine Harris. Their most recent are Games Creatures Play and Dead But Not Forgotten. Kelner has won the Agatha Award and an RT BookClub Lifetime Achievement Award, and has been nominated multiple times for the Anthony, the Macavity, and the Derringer. As Leigh Perry, she writes the Family Skeleton series for Berkley Prime Crime.

Kellye Garrett’s Hollywood Homicide, about a semi-famous, mega-broke black actress, won the Anthony, Agatha and Lefty for best first novel. It’s also one of BookBub’s “Top 100 Crime Novels of All Time.” The second, Hollywood Ending, was featured on the TODAY show’s Best Summer Reads of 2019 and was nominated for both Anthony and Lefty awards. She serves on Sisters in Crime’s national board and is a co-founder of Crime Writers of Color.
