Title: “Get Ready for NaNoWriMo with Mystery-Making: An Interactive Webinar”

Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2020

Time: 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET

Presenters: Edwin Hill, Lorraine Sharma, Nelson, Carolyn Marie Wilkins, Lisa Lieberman

Cost: $FREE

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is coming! Are you ready? During this interactive webinar, four mystery authors representing different sub-genres, including cozy, detective, historical noir and psychological suspense, will brainstorm on their feet to create a brand new mystery using suggestions from the live audience for characters, settings, murder weapons, motives, and other key elements (red herrings anyone?) of a murder mystery. Fun, fast-paced, and fascinating, this improv game offers important insights into mystery writers’ minds and the conventions of the genre.

Edwin Hill, an Edgar and Agatha finalist, is the author of three psychological suspense novels, including his latest, WATCH HER, which will be available in January of 2021. He lives in Boston with his partner Michael and their lab Edith Ann, who likes Edwin's first drafts enough to eat them. To learn more about Edwin, visit his website:

Lorraine Sharma Nelson grew up globally, constantly having to adapt to different cultures. Writing was her escape from the reality of always being the new girl in school. Her short stories have been published in sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and mystery/crime anthologies, and usually feature an Indian protagonist.
