Dorothy Cannell Scholarship Winners

To honor one of the most enduring author/agent partnerships in mystery publishing, Sisters in Crime is administering the Dorothy Cannell 'Guppy' Scholarship, offered by an anonymous donor. You can read more about the scholarship here.

UPDATE (1/12/2019): The recipient of the 2019 award is Julia Hoover. Congratulations! The award will be used for attendance at Malice Domestic May 3-5, 2019.

 

Julia Hoover is a former physician currently at work on a medical thriller about a pediatric intensive care physician who must race to save a young patient who reminds her a great deal of her own dead son. She is an avid mystery reader and fan and is looking forward to learning a lot at her first Malice Domestic. She is a Guppie and a member of Sisters in Crime New England, the League of Vermont Writers, and Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance. She and her family live in Vermont. 

 

UPDATE (1/10/2018): The recipient of the 2018 award is Marcia Adair. Congratulations! The award will be used for attendance at Malice Domestic April 27-29, 2017.
