Group of women discussing a bookSisters in Crime is first and foremost a community of people who share your passion for crime writing. No matter what your interest or where you are in your journey, you’ll find friends and mentors through shared community activities.

Local Chapters: If your area has a local Sisters in Crime affiliated chapter, you can easily increase your access to the SinC community through in-person and virtual meetings and events. Most of our chapters have virtual content, so you’re not limited by distance. Chapters are low-cost or, in some cases, free. You can belong to as many chapters as you like.

Guppy Online Chapter: Founded as a group for pre-published writers, today Guppy members range from beginners to award-winning authors with multiple publishing credits. Members share information about writing and publishing through a quarterly newsletter, private forums, and critique groups. They also offer an extensive calendar of classes to help members meet their writing goals.

The SinC Community: Sisters in Crime has a members-only online community with groups for Indie published authors, research, critique requests and more. The interface for the community looks like social media, allowing people to post, and respond to conversations.

SinC Write-Ins include a conversation about a writing topic, and then time for all to write together as a community. We offer write-ins on Tuesdays and Fridays, four times each day. Details are in the Write-In group in the SinC Community.

Dorothy Cannell Scholarship: For author Dorothy Cannell, as for so many others, connecting and learning from mystery readers and writers at the annual Malice Domestic Conference had a lasting impact on her writing and her life. This $1000 scholarship, given annually, is intended to offer another writer the same transformative opportunity.

Member Directory: Looking for members in your area? Trying to contact a member you met at a conference or other event? The Member directory can help.

Events: Check out our events calendar for ways to interact with other Siblings. Almost everything we do has a community aspect, whether it’s chatting along during a webinar, supporting each other at online write-ins, or visiting virtually with a local chapter that has opened a class or speaker event to the full membership.

Social Media: Connect with Sisters in Crime National on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and view our rich content on YouTube.

News and Publications: Our monthy SinC Bulletin, brings you information from experts along with craft-related articles, updates on other member benefits, member awards and nominations, workshops and conferences, and chapter news. SinC Links is a succinct monthly summary of news you can use from the worlds of publishing, writing and crime. Our weekly News from National newsletters help members stay up-to-date on webinars, classes, events, and more.
